| The Upshot Story! One day a wee lad called Colin was skipping along playing 'Eat my Sandwich' with his imaginary friend Gupta. Then a little Jewish boy named Anthony, saw him from afar, and shouted 'I've got a sick Aunt', realising at the same time he didn't even have an Aunt. Colin heard the desperation in his voice, and wanted to embrace him, but couldn't be bothered. So instead he suggested they start a band together. For the next 2 years, they went through puberty, and sung songs about...er..puberty. Realising they're style of Rap and Hungarian Whistling wasn't getting them anywhere, they looked for a new member and a new sound. Enter Scott. Scott was a good choice for the band, except he had a tendency to shout "DON'T TOUCH ME THERE DAD!!" when he woke up. Weird. Anyway, the guys looked for another guitarist, and this is when Dave came into the frame. The picture frame that is, a picture of his Greek Uncle Stavros. The boys decided to play crappy punk around the country to fans who obviously loved them, because they would laugh and point at the band after every song....the next year will only tell what happens with this crazy, wacky band! But with reviews like "about as good and entertaining as a Noel Edmund's joke book" (Leave Your Band Fanzine), who knows what can stop them!! The truth is we liked punk and formed a band. THE END |
